MY FATHER IS MY BIGGEST INFLUENCE.
I grew up watching my dad participate in triathlon races regularly. He started training me at a very young age in swimming, cycling and running. But as I grew up I found my love for tennis and soccer. With a degree Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Masters in Business Management, I entered the corporate life with Fitness First as a Financial Accountant. This is the workplace where I found my passion for fitness and training. After six great years in Fitness First, I decided to quit my job and move to Hong Kong to follow my dream to start my entrepreneur journey.
PREPARING AND TRAINING FOR MY FIRST TRIATHLON.
I haven’t had a chance to complete a proper triathlon yet, but I have participated in a lot of individual swimming, cycling and running competitions since I was very young. My dad still competes in Triathlon races now, and the most recent Triathlon event was in Sydney where my dad, my younger brother and myself competed in a Triathlon as a relay.
FIND A DIET THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE.
Diet is very important. Not only does it make your body feel good but it also can boost mental function, also stress and anxiety relief. Unfortunately, there is no one perfect diet which is right for everyone. You’ll need to find a diet which fits well with your lifestyle. For myself, I have tried many different diets to see how my body has responded and adapted. Since February this year, I have started to be vegetarian. Originally I was trying this diet to see how my body adapts and whether I can promote high energy levels and improve physical and mental health. And once a month when the schedule fits, I would go on a raw vegan diet for 7 to 9 days. So far I have noticed the improvement in mental clarity and even physical performance. I have also noticed an improvement in stress management and better daily mood. Now I have decided to stay vegetarian.

Definitely, whether it is a game of soccer or a cycling or running race there is always a time where you want to give up. Times when you feel you just want to stop and give up, but for me, I always try to stay mentally strong to achieve success. This includes winning races, games and also work. Living a healthy lifestyle can also provide you with a strong mentality because it gives you the confidence to be successful.
I MEDITATE DAILY TO DEVELOP A HEALTHY MIND.
Another way I recommend to improve health and a better lifestyle is meditation. I started getting more knowledge about the benefits of meditation around one and a half years ago and it is probably one of the best things I have taken up and learnt. March this year, I decided to go to Myanmar and participated in a 10 day Vipassana Meditation course. It was a life-changing experience and I highly recommend it. Meditation is like a mental training, just like exercising, you need to keep practicing it to develop a healthy mind. With such a busy lifestyle living in Hong Kong, meditation can provide peace within ourselves and with others.
