Cath Kidston is a British lifestyle brand with global appeal founded in 1993. Inspired by the British lifestyle of the designer, the brand uses a lot of prints related to British culture and seasons in accessories, home furnishings, clothing and products for kids. With the brand’s belief of “Brighten Up Your Day”, Cath Kidston has never stopped surprising customers and brightening their lives with their wonderful prints.

Similarly, the Hong Kong floral designer Dr. Solomon Leong (AIFD PFCI) also has a deep relationship with British culture. Deeply influenced by the English garden style and the European flower arranging ethos, the work of SOLOMON BLOEMEN has been carefully designed with the true aesthetics of floral art. This time, through the bold statement “We Only Do Beautiful”, we would like to bring forward the philosophy of both brands and fully demonstrate their perseverance in beauty.

The “We Only Do Beautiful” floristry class co-hosted by Cath Kidston x SOLOMON BLOEMEN carries the British stories behind both brands, leading the way to the gorgeous British garden. Bring home with the SOLOMON BLOEMEN dried flower bouquet in British printed items by Cath Kidston.

Influenced by the English garden style and the European flower arranging ethos, the work of the Hong Kong based floral designer Dr. Solomon Leong (AIFD PFCI) have been described as ‘extraordinary’ and ’striking’ by international media such as the BBC. He has won numerous awards at international flower shows and competitions, and has been awarded at the world renowned Royal Horticultural Flower Show at Chelsea in London, UK for 14 consecutive years. In 2019, Dr. Leong represented Hong Kong to compete in the FTD World Cup.

With rich knowledge of British garden art, SOLOMON BLOEMEN is very careful and selective about the ingredients during the bouquet content development. Correlation between British flowers and seasons has been taken into consideration, so that the audience will have a deeper
understanding on the topic. Apart from the iconic Wheat from the English fields, the bouquet also includes the summer blooming English Lavender and Oak Leaves that reminds us of the changing of seasons.

SOLOMON BLOEMEN took the fashion approach to specially design the bouquet filled with English garden elements in order to share some life aesthetics through the collaboration.
Inspired by Dr. Solomon’s own garden in Sussex UK. Materials in this dried flower bouquet reflect the wonderful magic of the English countryside. It is like a mini meadow in your hands, happiness wrapped in a bunch, all within reach. Art and pleasure are all around our daily lives. Take time to discover, and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Materials in the bouquet can all be found in a casual walk in the English countryside garden:

English Lavender – fragrant and full of summer scent, blooming every summer from June to September.

Siergras (Beige fluffy grass) – wispy and romantic. Like walking in the field.

Phalaris grass (pink grass with bob heads) – wild and natural grass. Seen in many paintings.

Paper daisy (pink) – a traditional English cottage garden flower.

Oak Leaves – beautifully orange reminds us of the changing of season.

Wheat – Famous crop and the icon of the English fields.
