The campaign spotlights three of our planet’s natural sources of energy — Water, Wind and the Sun — through an atmospheric and almost dreamlike sequence. Narrated by Gala, the film depicts her dreaming of summer and reconnecting with nature: The first chapter opens with her atop a hill, immersing herself in the power of the wind and vastness of nature. Set in a lush field, the second chapter features her feeling the sun on her skin, and the third chapter, filmed oceanside, sees Gala playfully take our espadrilles to the water’s edge.
This campaign’s dynamic film and complementary imagery were captured by photographer and director Jennifer Massaux, who is known for her nature-driven style.
The SW Elemental Espadrilles Capsule also highlights Stuart Weitzman’s rich heritage steeped in artisanal Spanish craftsmanship. A testament to the masterful craft of our artisans in Spain, each style features intricate details perfected by hand, ranging from the hand-crocheted toe accents to the jute soles that are hand-dyed to create a subtle, multi-colored effect. Every design is adorned with our signature SW Star logo hardware, a motif emblematic of the largest star in the universe, the sun.
“It was one of my first designs for the brand, so it also takes on special meaning. To me, it symbolizes the dawn of a new era — a new beginning for the Stuart Weitzman brand,” SW Head of Design Edmundo Castillo explains.
