Stuart Weitzman’s Fall 2019 Campaign, SW Boot Camp, concludes with the third and final installment, SCENE III: #SWSUPERWOMEN. Global spokeswoman Kendall Jenner and dance sensation Lil Buck return to star in the energetic short film and its compelling complementary images.
Fall 2019’s SW Boot Camp campaign is a celebration of women who make bold moves in their own ways. Scene I: #SWDANCE underscored the art of movement and portrayed the energy and resilience women feel in SW boots. Scene II: #SWSTRENGTH took this message of empowerment a step further by highlighting how both women and men feel confident to dance through any challenge in SW boots. For the campaign finale, Scene III: #SWSUPERWOMEN reinforces both concepts while expressing how SW boots equip those who wear them to be the heroes of their own lives, conquering daily battles fearlessly and flawlessly.
The scene opens with Kendall Jenner standing tall, looking poised and exuding feminine confidence while wearing the stretch vinyl over-the-knee KATRINA boot and an unmistakable cape, cutting a striking image that evokes the classic superhero stance. It continues with dance partners Kendall Jenner and Lil Buck demonstrating their flexibility and quick reflexes as they kick and spin in effortless, fluid motions. As Kendall Jenner and Lil Buck move and play off each other, they emphasize how they empower each other to push themselves further.
The high-impact, high-shine stretch vinyl KATRINA over-the-knee boot and KAREN booties symbolize the modern woman. Like the women who wear SW, this boot is equal parts feminine and fierce, seductive and striking, and exemplifies strength in femininity. The KATRINA, the newest iteration of our iconic over-the-knee boot silhouette, is crafted from a newly developed type of vinyl that is infused with stretch while also retaining its durable, glossy and waterproof properties. With this, it cements the brand’s DNA of combining fashion, function and fit in each design.
The power of women is a thread that runs throughout the campaign and extends behind the scenes: Photographer and director Charlotte Wales brought the concept of SW Boot Camp to life; stylist Clare Richardson used her keen eye for detail to enhance the campaign message; and choreographer Danielle Polanco captured the essence of the Fall 2019 Campaign in each twist and kick. In addition, rapper DDG’s hit “Run It Up (Feat. YBN Nahmir)” is the featured soundtrack across the campaign, a song he says he wrote to empower and support women.
