Comfortably tucked on Shin Hing Street in the Sheung Wan neighborhood between Hollywood Road and Gough Street, lies a special community enclave created by Elaine Chen Fernandez called THE WILD LOT, inspired by her favorite book “Where the Wild Things Are.”
THE WILD LOT is a new experimental concept space that aims to transcend the boundaries between ‘Gallery,’ ‘Shop,’ ‘Event Space’, and ‘Home.’ It’s a place to kick back, create, and express oneself. A pocket of peace in the city: an oasis in the concrete jungle of Hong Kong.
“People shouldn’t feel confined within four walls – instead this is a safe space to dream big and share ideas” – Elaine Chen Fernandez
With the aim of establishing a strong community platform for the creative industry, THE WILD LOT works with a range of local and international creators, showcasing exhibitions, retail concepts, experiential events, and more.
Balancing commerce and creativity, THE WILD LOT is a passion project that cultivates a creative community ecosystem. Revenue generated from collaborations with corporate entities are redirected to running the space, and subsidizing a unique platform for creative expression by a wide range of creators and artists.
With its simple and contemporary design, THE WILD LOT is the ultimate venue offering a creative and flexible space that promises to give guests the most relaxed and engaged experience. Fully equipped with all the necessities (Wi-Fi, projector, gallery lighting and sound system), the 1,067 sq. ft. space promises to be an ideal venue for memorable events.
